It is time for the current Firearms Control Act/Bill to be repealed and for it to be replaced with an Act that works.

Suggestions should work towards an Act that:

1. Will be cost effective to implement and administer.

2. Ensure that competent, law abiding citizens are not hampered by unreasonable laws in the pursuit of lawful activities.

3. Impose the minimum administrative burden on the State, to free up valuable resources for effective policing.

As suggestions are received, they will, if conforming to the criteria above, be added to the document below.

Criticising, without suggesting a workable alternative, is not constructive. Let us build a sensible Law.
